Ever get 978 emails and 955 of them are spam?
I recently spent 6 days driving from Arizona to Costa Rica where I now live. On arrival, anxious to check my messages, I checked my emails from my web based email server instead of taking time to set up my email program with my new wifi server information.
I had 978 emails. Nine hundred fifty five were spam.
However, I did get lucky while on the road.

Do you have a similar problem every day?
Are you spending money each month with an online spam fighting service?
Or did you spend a king’s ransom for software that fights spam for you, took three hours and 47 minutes to install, require you to install things called “filters”, “blacklists” and “white lists“, and requires “updates” every week? And today, after using it for a year you’re still “teaching” it what is, and isn’t spam?

Or, in my case particular case this time, mail.youhave955spammessageswaiting.com.
I didn’t realize how bad the email spam situation had become because I normally didn’t have the problem.
And, in exactly 12.4 minutes (if you type fast) from the time you finish reading this article you won’t have a spam problem either. Or at least 95% of it.
The best part? It’s absolutely free.
Go to Mozilla and download Thunderbird 1.5.
Thunderbird is a free email program by the same folks who are behind the Firefox web browser which you should also be using (you can download it at the same place). No filters to install. No blacklists. No white lists .
The Bird knows the sites that email out millions, make that billions, of emails everyday. When you get one it goes straight to the Junk box. If any get through, and a few will, you can tell the Bird it’s junk with one click of the mouse. You’ll never see it in your Inbox again.
Thunderbird has very intelligent filters built in.
Which, by the way, is something Bill Gates knows little about.
You can use Thunderbird with any web browser. It will, if I remember right, even transfer your email account settings from Outlook or whatever you’re using now.
When you use the Bird for a few days and realize what a great program it is you’ll want to return to the Mozilla website and download and install Firefox. It’s also free.
If you do, I promise, you’ll never open Internet Explorer again.
And, there aren’t security holes in Firefox. Or Thunderbird.
Which, by the way, is something Billl Gates knows a lot about.
Another thing. If you own a business you’ll save money if you use Thunderbird. You won't be paying your staff for non-productive time sorting through 354 emails to find the one thousand dollar order.
