Artificial Blood Vessels Have Been Built By 3D Printer

A company present in San Diego is in the process of developing such a technology that would be printing artificial blood vessels that can be used for the purpose of transplants. The basic goal of this to create such an arterial graft that could be easily used in the surgeries related to the coronary bypass. Keith Murphy, who is the CEO of the company named Organovo, has said that the long term objective of this is actually to solve out the problems that comes in the medical therapy, which is not being solved with any other means. This puts more focus on the transplantation of many of the different organs of the body where many of the people have to wait just for the sake of getting the donated organs.

Invetech, which is a company related to the design as well as with the manufacturing of the contract with the offices that are present in San Diego and Australia, has built the first 3D medical printer of Organovo while working with Organovo.

Fred Davis, who is the president of Invetech, has said in one statement that the building up of the human organs with the help of cells was first thought to be a science fiction some time ago. But by combining science with technology we have been able to help people to improve their lives.
