Controlling image on the monitor by means of cellphone cameras
24th January 2008
British researchers have developed a prototype of software, which allows using mobile phones with a digital camera as a three-dimensional mouse for managing image on the monitor.
The operating principle of the mobile phone, in this case, resembles managing the play-station Nintendo by means of a wireless controller Wii: all you need is to simply move your hand with the phone in front of the monitor of PC in certain directions. Connection between the mobile device and the computer is implemented through Bluetooth wireless connection.
According to the author of the program, Nick Pears it is only the first step in controlling computers with mobile devices.
