DDoS Attack Comes To Amazon
21st January 2010
The Web Services of Amazon and also Amazon.com had been apparently affected by the attack of the denial of service that was distributed throughout and had also stuck the provider of their DNS. The extent that how much this DDoS assault would be impacting has not been figured out immediately. But, Allen Goldberg, who is the spokesman for UltraDNS has said that the attack had been creating some of the delays to the customers. It has also been said by Goldeberg that UltraDNS had been running the system quite normally one hour after the attack, and this had created problems for only the Internet users of Northern California as they were the ones who had been affected only. Goldberg further said that nothing was ever out of order and there was no such time that could be called the downtime. There might be some more time taken in order to resolve the queries and also it might be possible that some of them were not completed too, but never any sort of outage could be observed.
There were no details about the attack that were available and also Goldberg did not disclose any of the particular customers who were affected. Amazon could not be reached for making any comment on this matter.
