It has been announced by the Centers for the Medicare and the Medicated Services that these given standards have the objective of helping release of an amount of 19 billion dollars in the funds of federal stimulus. These standards have been developed in a time span of many months. David Blumenthal, who belongs to the department of Health and Human Services, has said in one statement that the widespread adoption of the health records electronically has great promises in order to improve the quality of the health care, its efficiency as well as the safety of the patients. Blumenthal is the national coordinator for the department of health and is in the Health Information Technology.
