EMR Standards Required By United States

In order to move for the purpose of streamlining the medical records, the officials of the Medicare have been making quite detailed plans for standardizing the medical files so that they can be easily stored as well as delivered in the electronic files that are comprehensive. It has been announced by the Centers for the Medicare and the Medicated Services that these given standards have the objective of helping release of an amount of 19 billion dollars in the funds of federal stimulus. These standards have been developed in a time span of many months. This program has been created for coaxing the establishments of the medical in order to move away from the files that were maintained on papers and also for paving the way for the current files that are incompatible to be accessed in the standard formats.
David Blumenthal, who belongs to the department of Health and Human Services, has said in one statement that the widespread adoption of the health records electronically has great promises in order to improve the quality of the health care, its efficiency as well as the safety of the patients. Blumenthal is the national coordinator for the department of health and is in the Health Information Technology.
