First patch for Windows 7

Microsoft announced the first patch for Windows 7, the beta version of which was officially presented several weeks ago.
This patch fixes a small but annoying mistake: when editing meta tags in MP3 a few seconds fell out of the sound track. Along with the update for Windows 7, Microsoft released a critical fix for its earlier operating systems, eliminating a serious vulnerability in the file sharing protocol of SMB.
The release of Windows 7 caused another amusing incident. The matter is that some time after Microsoft began distributing Windows 7, its servers simply crashed and many users had to download an image of installation disk sized 2.5 GB via files-exchange networks.
Correction for the SMB protocol implementation under Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, as well as for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 is much more important. The point is that attackers can use this vulnerability to install programs, delete or change data, create new accounts with full rights of access. This vulnerability is most dangerous under Windows 2000, XP and Server 2003.
