Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock earned $1 billion

The company Activision has recently announced that Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock is the first game in the world, which brought the income of more than $1 billion. A year ago, the company claimed that the whole series allowed publishers to earn the same amount of money. This is a very good result, given that the series itself was in 2006 for $ 100 million.
The game`s popularity as well directly affected the financial success of many bands, songs of which were used in the project. Activision also made a fortune out of this music entertainment. The company keeps on accumulating profits on Guitar Hero World Tour, Call of Duty: World at War and the addon for World of Warcraft.
