IE vs Firefox: who is first?

A French monitoring site called XiTi Monitoring, reports that Internet Explorer owned 59,5% of the European market by the end of 2008. Weâ€™d like to point out, that this is its worst â€œachievementâ€ for all the time!
Even 6 months ago IEâ€™s market share began falling down, being constantly replaced by Mozilla. At that time the figures looked as follows: IE â€“ 65% and Mozilla â€“ 32%.
It is noticeable that Opera and Chrome also own some considerable percents of the European market. XiTi specialists also noticed the increasing popularity of Mozillaâ€™s browser in Eastern Europe, where its share is now 50%.
To sum up, we have two world industry leaders now: IE and Firefox. We dare say that such products as Opera and Chrome can hardly be equal contestants for the two abovementioned. So, it will be exciting to watch the â€œfightâ€ between these giants.
