Mentor Graphics introduced new OS for mobile devices

The company Mentor Graphics Corporation introduced a new operating system Nucleus OS supporting the new file-system Safe File System.
The new file system provides 100% DATA protection from the disruption in supplies, essential for the majority of mobile devices based on technologies NOR, NAND, DataFlash.
The introduced OS, according to the developers` intention, must get widespread in mobile devices and specialized medical equipment.
Traditionally, mobile or embedded devices have been sensitive to interruptions in power supply. For example, information is lost or even entire device fails if the battery goes flat. Safe File System eliminates the errors that occur as a result of an emergency supply shutdown.
The method used in Nucleus`s OS Safe File System, is relatively simple: all information that should be removed, in operations of re-recording and recording is duplicated. Thus, if the hardware crash occurs, the lost information can be restored from pre-made archive.
In addition, the system by Nucleus OS has high reliability and performance.
