Scary Web Error Caused Due To Network Flaw
24th January 2010
A Georgian mother and her two daughters were trying to access facebeook via their mobile phones, but they wounded up in a startling place. Last weekend, these people had accessed the accounts of strangers, with full access to troves of personal information. They did not commit this mistake deliberately, but it was due to a flaw in the network. There was actually a routing problem at the wireless carrier of that family, which is known as AT&T.
This little known security flaw could have far reaching and damaging implications on everyone, using internet and not only the facebook users. The internet actually lost track and couldn`t identify who is who, putting men and women into the wrong accounts. The researchers have warned that such flaws can ruin the privacy of the internet users, as every type of information including ordinary data to dark secrets could go crooked.
According to many security experts such cases had not been heard, in which wrong persons could access the accounts of others. And if it had happened, then it does not mean that only mobile phone users have gone through this problem, but the users, accessing internet through their PC`s could have also faced this problem.
