Microsoft is now developing a system that will monitor employee`s productivity, his state of health and competence.
According to reports of Timesonline.co.uk, the essence of Microsoft`s development is as follows: employees connect to a computer through a wireless connection, and the system captures the human metabolism. Thus, managers will get informed on the cardiovascular system, body temperature, physical activity, blood pressure, and even on a person`s face expression.
The system can also determine spirits sagging or the state of stress and provide an adequate solution of the problem. In addition, the program will offer the necessary physical changes in the light of psychological data, as well as weight, age and health of the employee. In case of detecting palpitation or other changes, showing the stress, the manager will be notified that the person needs help.
Some experts on Data protection already said that such programs are the rude intrusion to the employees` private life.
At the same time, trade unions are concerned that it will be possible to dismiss employees on the basis of their physiological condition.
Earlier this technique was used to monitor the pilots, firemen and NASA astronauts.
