Videoservices in 2007: researches by Pew Internet

Videoservices like YouTube go on gaining popularity. According the polls held by the organization Pew Internet, nearly half an adult Internet audience visits portals containing streaming video. The poll had been carried out since October to December 2007, and involved more than 1300 web-surfers. 48% of the participants proved videoservices` visitors, while in the previous year this proportion made out only 33%. On the whole, the Pew specialists found out that last year the number of the visitors has doubled, mostly at the expense of men under the age of 30, students and teenagers. Almost every third interviewed teenager said that he/she visits portals like YouTube every day, while only every fifth man does that.
One of the highest rates of traffic growth last year was provided by women's audience, its total traffic increased over 120%. The traffic increase by 100% was identified among people from 30 to 49 years. And the record was set by graduates of high schools - 160%.
The popularity of videoservices was also provided by constantly spreading broadband connection. Another reason was the increase of published video.
