Downdup: new virus attacks the net
20th February 2009
The worm known as Downdup (other name Conficker) has already infected more than 10 million computers worldwide, by using the MS08-067 vulnerability in Windows. It infects your computer and allows an attacker to infect it with various malware. However, if a computer is protected with Disk Write Copy, the worm infects only a virtual image of the system, and the malware is copied to a virtual disk. So, simple computer restarting destroys all virtual data with all the infected objects. The line Disk Write Copy is based on the latest technologies, developed by CCS.
