Electronic Arts releases Dead Space Extraction

Electronic Arts has officially announced the Wii-adaptation of the space horror Dead Space. The game is now called Dead Space Extraction. According to the developers, it will be not a remake, but rather a prequel of the original project, released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
The main character now is a female. Together with a group of colonists players will try to leave the contaminated space colony Aegis 7. The authors promise us new plasma cannons, enemies, puzzles, and cooperative multiplayer mode. Also, the horror has been turned into a first person shooter.
