Engine of Half-Life 2 in serious training simulators

Valve once produced a really good engine called Source, and the time just proved that. The technology is used not only in games but also in serious projects.
A British research team applied this technology to create a training simulator of fire evacuation. They modeled their own building. By means of this virtual copy they show safe emergency exit.
The project was et rather well: people eagerly thread their way to the exit. As for gamers, they preferred to rush into the fire thinking it a good quest.
