GAO Asks More Testing Of Whole Body Scanners From TSA
1st February 2010
Risks of attacking with bombs are increasing day by day in the countries like USA. In order to control this act, whole body scanners were introducing before, but these were failed to stop the attempts and USA had to face many hardships with the scanners. Again, technology had been revised and many important features installed in the scanners in order to get effective results and now scanners are ready to launch. Government Accountability Office has asked Transportation Security Administration to check out the perfect workability of these scanners so that they can start deployed the devices at airports and many other important places.
In a report, it has been ordered to TSA to test the devices in their day to day operations so that terrorist attacks can be controlled by scanning the whole body. Like on Christmas, a person had been caught by hiding an illegal and dangerous material in his underwear. By the end of 2010, more than 200 whole body scanners would be installed at airports and till 2014, 878 units are expected to be brought at airports very soon. This movement can really make the different in stopping disastrous situations like bombing attacks. There is a great need to protect USA from these kinds of illegal acts.
