Google Docs turns offline

With reference to the portal ZDNet.co.uk, it was reported, that, presumably, Google is going to release one of its first offline applications within the project Google Gears. It will be the updated version of Google Docs, an online office suite, working with text docs, tables and presentations. The rumors about that emerged after the post of a blogger Tony Ruscoe, where he “can confirm that the off-line access is currently being tested”.
Rasco writes that, when visiting Google Docs, he was proposed to install the plugin to view all documents offline. Further study revealed that the documents could not yet be viewed and edited offline, and only the list of them can be viewed so far.
There were only a few simple operations available, such as the opportunity to rename documents, followed by the successful synchronization at connecting to the Internet.
According to Ruscoe, the Google`s addon for autonomous work of Google Docs is at the early stages of development. Let's see, what Google itself will tell about all this…
