IBM introduced Tivoli Provisioning Manager 5.1.1

IBM Corporation introduced a new version of the software for managing information centers, Tivoli Provisioning Manager 5.1.1. The IBM solution Tivoli Provisioning Manager 5.1.1 allows you to automate many operations for the deployment, configuring, operating systems management, installing updates, deployment of the intermediate layer software and installing applications on the physical and virtual servers.
Tivoli also can control various technologies of virtualization, data storages SAN and NAS, network devices: switches, firewalls, etcâ€¦
New features of the current version:
Web Replay feature writes mouse movements, key-presses and other operations to be further reproduced.
Cross-platforming. Users can manage the updating of applications under operating systems of Windows, Linux, Solaris and AIX.
Creating and managing infrastructure maps.
Accelerating installation and deployment of the system.
Support of mobile devices.

Lotus Notes: new version will include official support of Ubuntu Linux
