Japanese scientists work on phrase auto-completing technology
22nd February 2009

The system recognizes segments of familiar words, and also identifies the so-called «linking sounds», pronounced by a person when he thinks over the following sentence.
Employees of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) assure that their development is absolutely unique and has no analogues in the world. However, the public met the «revolutionary» idea rather cold. It can be easily explained, as many systems of “speech recognition” can not accurately recognize even part of it!
