KDE 4.2 final version available for download

The Community of KDE developers announced the availability of a new version of the popular open source graphical desktop environment.
The application is also known under the code name The Answer. It offers a modified desktop shell, Plasma, supporting expanded three-dimensional visual special effects and lots of other improvements. You are also welcome to estimate improved mechanisms for managing apps windows, a new notification system, the possibility of writing new Plasma applets in the languages of Ruby and Python.
KDE developers provided more complete product`s compatibility with different operating systems (Windows and Mac OS X). There are a lot of additional software products delivered with the environment, including web-design, educational tools, applications.
