28th February 2009
Microsoft has been thinking of collaboration with open-source vendors for years. Finally, they decided to get down to brass tacks. The point is that Microsoft and Red Hat decided to create an alliance to collaborate on the visualization technology. Red Hat will provide good support for users of Windows Server in the virtualization technology Red Hat Enterprise. Microsoft, in its turn, will implement support of users of Red Hat Enterprise Linux in Windows Server Hyper-V and Microsoft Hyper-V Server.
Specialists believe that this is a huge step forward for users, who have been waiting for such a decision for ages.
