New version of PostgreSQL DBMS

An international team of PostgreSQL developers has released a new version of the same name object-relational database management system (RDBMS).
In PostgreSQL 8.3 they realized a lot of innovations aimed at improving the stability and performance of the work, and also simplifying the processes of Server administration. PostgreSQL 8.3 version supports ANSI SQL/XML standard (including export XML), and also compound data types. The team of Windows-developers of PostgreSQL had realized the opportunity of compilation in Visual C++ environment, which improves the stability and performance of computers running under Microsoft software platforms. In addition, new DBMS comprises approximately 280 patches and updates that increase the code quality.
