Novell Mono releases final version of Moonlight 1.0

The developers from the Novell Mono community reported on releasing the software Moonlight 1.0.
This product is an open-source implementation of the Silverlight technology, and allows users systems based on Linux and PowerPC Mac to get access to multimedia content and interactive applications.
The proposed solution supports all common Linux-distributions including OpenSUSE, SUSE Linux Enterprise, Fedora, Red Hat and Ubuntu. Besides the Â«pluginÂ» itself, you will need a set of codecs Microsoft Media Pack, access to which was granted to developers as a part of an agreement on the technical partnership between Novell and Microsoft in September 2007.
