Opera Turbo shows up at Mobile World Congress and confirms expectations

Recently, Opera Turbo has been demonstrated at MWC. The developers held a testing under Windows OS and tests showed that pages downloading speed increased 3.5 times. As it is known, compressing and packaging pages for further transmission to the client is performed by the network of special servers, supported by Opera Software.
Technically, Opera Turbo servers download user-requested web pages and compresses all of their elements without loss, with the exception of stream elements, as well as Flash-video and dynamic AJAX-components. After compression, the page is transmitted to a user's browser as a single pack.
Opera Software is going to make money on this technology by selling the services of Opera Turbo along with the optimized browser to various mobile network operators, which can not cope with the increasing volumes of mobile traffic.
