Sybase iAnywhere introduced new Bluetooth SDK

The company Sybase introduced a new tool for developers of Bluetooth solutions, Blue SDK 3.0.
The new tool supports Bluetooth specification 2.1 + EDR and the new radio devices from the companies Atheros Communications, Broadcom Corporation, CSR, Marvell, Qualcomm, STMicroelectronics, and Texas Instruments.
The new Bluetooth specification makes the connection more secure and simplifies the connection of several devices. Sybase iAnywhere Blue SDK 3.0 includes a core of stack protocols and application-level profiles for wireless connections on the Bluetooth protocol. All software is fully in accordance with specification Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group), which states that developed devices will conform to industrial standards.
Sybase iAnywhere SDK 3.0 includes the following functional modules:
Security Mode 4 (Secure Simple Pairing) - enhanced protection;
Sniff Sub-rating - the optimization of energy consumption;
Link Supervision Timeout Changed Event - ensuring reliable operation of large Bluetooth networks;
Encryption Pause / Resume;
Erroneous Data Reporting - advanced features for handling errors in transmitted data packages;
Extended Inquiry Response - obtaining accurate data on the device;
Non-Flushable Packet Boundary Flag - advanced features of streaming audio transmission.
