Security researchers have denied Microsoft’s statement that the first fixed vulnerability of this year in Vista was difficult to exploit.
The Immunity’s specialists demonstrated in a flash-trailer the action of the exploits using the vulnerability, closed in the bulletin MS08-001. The exploit was based on a malicious code published a few weeks ago and was designed to show that the disclosed vulnerability was not difficult to use in attacks.
Anti-virus companies have responded to the demonstration by releasing additional warnings on the need to install a patch issued in January. It should be recalled, that the patched vulnerability affects Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, Windows Small Business Server and Windows Home Server.
