The company CartyStudios Corp has released Ultimate Theft Alert, an application for pocket computers and communicators based on Microsoft Windows Mobile.
This kind of alarm significantly simplifies the comeback of your stolen device. It can also prevent leakage of vital information. The program reads the code number of SIM-cards (so-called IMSI identifier). Each SIM card has its own unique IMSI identifier, which allows identifying the phone number attached to the card and, thus, identifying its owner. Thus, users of Ultimate Theft Alert will be able to quickly identify the thief.
Of course, to do it, you will require assistance from your connection provider. Even if a thief replaces the installed SIM-card by its own, the application detects fraud and will send a message to an alternative number specified by the owner. The very first message sent by the program contains a thiefâ€™s phone number. By the way, a user can add to the white list a few alternative numbers of SIM cards in order to exclude the probability of false positives.
