VectorMagic: online converter
29th February 2008
Nowadays, online services are persistently replacing conventional desktop applications. The other day, the first version of the service VectorMagic was launched, intended to transform raster images into vector ones. The service, created by researchers of Stanford University, for some time has been tested on their “home” server, and now grown to its own domain vectormagic.com.
The service supports downloading of images in the formats of JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP and TIFF. Conversion is performed in several stages: selecting type of image, determining the color palette and some other settings. The output image can be saved in the formats of EPS, SVG and PNG.
