Yahoo comes into agreement with Facebook

Yahoo goes on improving its search service, and now the company decided to combine their efforts with a well-known social service Facebook. This collaboration is a part of an open semantic program SearchMonkey. Now, if a person has a public profile in Facebook, then when searching for it with Yahoo, the search engine will give information about this profile.
This feature works only with those profiles of Facebook, which can be indexed by search engines. Facebook developers have implemented such a possibility only in late 2007. Of course, additional options, such as inviting to make friends, etc. will work only if a user performing the search is registered on Facebook.
