Battlefield Heroes: humorous and free

Employees of Kotaku watched a demonstration of the new game Battlefield Heroes during GDC 2008, and concluded that it is little more than a pitiful attempt of Electronic Arts to repeat the success of Team Fortress 2. The gameplay itself is described as Battlefield light. There are three classes of characters (soldiers, heavy infantry, spy) that start fighting immediately. It is very similar to a mixture of â€œflag hostageâ€ and â€œcommand deathmatchâ€. There are tanks and planes at the cartoon levels. The technique is very simple to manage. In addition to the standard fire exchange, the game has its own system of bonuses (players can see through the walls, restore their health, etc.).
The main advantage of Battlefield Heroes is, of course, humor and its free status. Casuists are sure to like it.
