Beta-version of Yahoo Messenger for Vista: coming up in the second quarter of this year

The company Yahoo within the MIX 08 conference in Las Vegas described the upcoming beta version of the Internet pager Yahoo Messenger for Windows Vista operating system.
The preliminary version of Yahoo Messenger for Windows Vista appeared in December last year. The program has a new interface for organizing dialogues and tabs. Users can save favorite contacts in Windows Sidebar, send superior smiles to their interlocutors and change colors for skins of the pager. In addition, there are advanced features for working with contact list.
The beta version of Yahoo Messenger for Windows Vista introduces a number of additional features. The developers will realize the capabilities of IP-telephony: users will be able to communicate with other computers` owners for free and make calls to regular telephones at relatively low rates.
In addition, the developers are planning equip Yahoo Messenger with the feature of sending text messages to mobile phones.
The date of the release is not known so far. However, according to CNET News, its appearance should be expected in the second quarter of this year.
