Capcom licenses Unreal Engine 3

A Japanese video game publisher Capcom Company announced their licensing of a game engine Unreal Engine 3, on which american developers are going to base a new unknown game. The announcement followed just two days after the similar report of Activision. It i8s known, that UE3 is already being used by companies of Activision, Electronic Arts, Microsoft Game Studios, Atari, Real Time Worlds, Namco, Midway, Silicon Knights, VU Games, THQ and Sony Online. It was also used in creating of the leader of the whole row of games for Xbox 360-Gears of War. UE3 is one of the most powerful engines and one of the most convenient and flexible means for consoles of the next generation - says Epic Bauman Mark, head of the use department of European and American publishers offices. He actually lavishes the technology with compliments:"This is more than just a graphical engine, it is the power with which we will be able to create high-quality projects”. Simultaneously with that The Capcom states that they are not going to open new departments on this occasion - the unknown project will be developed by one of their already existing studios.
