Grand Theft Auto: from 2D arcade to criminal thriller

The recent issue of the EDGE magazine has an interesting article telling the evolution of the famous series Grand Theft Auto from two-dimensional arcade to a large-scale criminal thriller. There are not many details concerning the fourth part of the game, but the fans will be interested to read about the evolution of GTA.
The Rockstar president Sam Houser responded to numerous questions from journalists, including the infamous mode Hot Coffee, as well as his experience in cooperation with Hollywood actor Ray Liotta. Speaking on GTA IV, he talked about the fact that cars in the game will be gradually getting old, mud, etc.
Not much was said about the multiplayer.
Grand Theft Auto IV will go on sale on April, 29, 2008. The game runs under Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
