Inter-game advertisement in StarCraft 2
24th March 2008
An executive director of Blizzard/Activision, Bobby Kotick, hopes that StarCraft 2 will be a platform for the deployment of an intra-game advertising.
He believes that the new strategy has a huge promotional potential, which can not be ignored by developers and publishers. Given the specificity of the game (short sessions, cyber-sport direction), one can apply to it not only standard partnerships schemes, but also hold experiments with new types of cooperation. During a single campaign you are not likely to be irritated by advertisements.
StarCraft 2 is the official continuation of the popular series that began in 1998. The main platform is likely to be PC. The exact release date is not known yet.
