InterStep plans to double its market share with Oracle JDE

In February 2007, the InterStep Company has finished the major part of application of the new information system Oracle JDE . With the introduction of this planning model, developed in conjunction with Deloitte, InterStep plans to increase market share by 50%. The decision to introduce Oracle JDE was taken in order to optimize the whole management of the company, its business processes. Selection of Oracle JDE was due to its flexibility, allowing to adopt the system to the ever-changing conditions in the market, connected to the growth and development of retail networks. As a result InterStep completely changed the model of the supply chain management due to through monitoring of stocks and product moving (suppliers, production, distribution centers, retailers), consolidated accounting, ruled out the possibility of dual-entry of operations, and as the result, any loss of information. Another feature of the project was realization of an optimized demand forecast models, that allows planning on different stages, considering production life-cycle. The project was brought to life with the help of Deloitte Company, Oracle`s partner. Duration of the project was 7 months. During the project elaboration 5 directions were created : Forecast and planning, logistics, productions, finance and technology, and development. By the end of 2007 InterStep is planning to complete application of the system to the branches. Also, possibilities are considered of a closer technical integration with retailers to make information exchange easier.
