iTunes still has problems of compatibility with Vista
9th March 2007
The latest update to the iTunes released two days ago, still has the problems of compatibility with Windows Vista. It should be recalled that after the release of a new operating system from Microsoft a warning appeared on Apple site that, it is better not to install iTunes into it, until the company eliminates the errors of compatibility. On Monday, simultaneously with the release of new version of the player the warning disappeared, and a message appeared instead that for work with Vista one should use the latest version of the program, iTunes 7.1. However hardly many people will dare to work with the iTunes for Vista as it is said there also that not all errors are eliminated. In particular, it is reported about possible damage of iPod when disconnecting from computer and also about the synchronization contacts error as well as incorrect display of graphics and text data. The Apple representatives reported that they are elaborating the solution with Microsoft, but they could not tell when iTunes will be fully compatible with Vista. It should be noticed, that that 64-bit versions of Windows (XP and Vista) are not supported at all.
