Microsoft bought medical search system Medstory

Microsoft announced about purchase of Medstory Company, a developer online information search system in the field of medicine and health care. The cost of it is kept in secret. On the terms of the transaction, the company will become a part of Microsoft Health Solutions, reports CNet. Explorer Medstory already working as beta version is intended for ordinary users, as well as for professionals in the sphere of medicine. Like in other search systems, search results will be grouped by category, relevant to request, for example, clinical research, procedures, information on illnesses diagnosis and symptoms. Last year Medstory Microsoft had already bought several "medical " technology companies, in particular, the developer of technology creating on-line databases about patients - Azyxxi. In addition, Microsoft entered into a long-term collaboration with a network of hospitals MedStar Health and will develop new technologies for them.
