Microsoft released Live OneCare in a hurry
21st March 2007
Microsoft has admitted that its anti-virus service Live OneCare is far from being perfect and has been released in a great hurry. This information was reported by security services manager of European department Arno Edelmann , in response to the virus testing results, made in early March by security researcher Andreas Clemente. OneCare took in its list the last 17th place. “Microsoft usually does not develop products, we buy them. This one is a good product, but it lacks some parts and pieces, - said Edelmann. - OneCare, is a new product, they should not have released it the time they did, but, at the same time, they are eliminating the problem now”. OneCare is based on the product GeCAD, Microsoft purchased with the developing company reports Arstechnica.com.
