Microsoft : war of office formats is over

Brian Jones, a person responsible for the development of Microsoft Office and the format Open XML made an interesting statement. He believes that the war between formats OpenDocument and Open XML is officially over, and the winners are both. A statement was made straight after Novell Company released earlier promised converter for OpenOffice, allowing the converting of documents into Open XML, and also opening files that had been saved in a new format from Microsoft, OpenOffice. Shortly before this the company Sun released demo version of the additional for StarOffice, which allows one to save documents in Microsoft Office 2003. StarOffice, is the advanced version of OpenOffice. Earlier, the final version of plug-in for Microsoft Office 2007 had been released, which allows one to work with ODF files within the limits of the new office package. Brian Jones said that each format has its own sphere of use and that both are an integral part of the market.
