Microsoft will concern with voice recognition

Microsoft announced its intention to acquire the company Tellme Networks, which specializes in speech recognition. According to preliminary data, the purchase would cost Microsoft $ 800 million. Recently, Tellme Networks activity is linked to the market of mobile communications. Quite recently, the company has begun testing the program for mobile phones that allows to recognize voice request for certain information and send the information needed to the cell phone. In addition, the program is being tested now which allows to perform remote search of information through text messages. Finally, Tellme Networks is profitable company with the staff of 320 persons. The software giant`s intention to gain experience and technologies of Tellme Networks can be explained by some plans of the company. Among those plans is the pursuit to combine telephony with e-mail. In addition, the Microsoft promised to create a platform for developing applications based on the voice applying.
