More legal content appears at YouTube

Online videoservise YouTube is creating an extensive network of content providers. According to the YouTube representative David Song, at present, the service has made over a thousand agreements with the small content providers, as well as,with major ones. The information is probided by agency France Presse. YouTube has been constantly receiving complaints from Mediacompanies, which demand to delete their videos that users put into internet illegally. Recently YouTube had a conflict with the Viacom corporation, which demanded the immediate removal of 100,000 videos of their television programmes. For some time, the company tried to negotiate, but finally failed to make a license agreement, that could legally allow YouTube to put the corporation content on its site . As a result, Viacom decided to distribute their videos themselves and put them on their own site. However, many mediagiants prefer to come to amicable agreement and cooperate with the service. In September last year, YouTube has made an agreement with Warner Music Group. Now there are a lot of formally presented videos, published under Warner label. YouTube concluded similar contracts with the Universal Music Group and Sony BMG Music Entertainment. In mid-February, it was announced about the bargain with Digital Music Group - on terms of the bargain YouTube will put television programmes of 1960-es. And at the end of February Wind-up Records - one of the largest independant music record companies - became a partner of YouTube : now users can view the videos rights of which belong to Wind-up Records. On March ,1 a new NBA (National Basketball Association) Channel appeared on the server, which will display pieces of matches and other content. Average users also can add videos there. And last Friday BBS aggreed to sign a cintract with YouTube. The British Broadcasting Corporation is planning to put on the site videos from their television programs and will organize there three channels two of which will be used for entertainment, and the one - for news.
