New Version of ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange servers

Trend Micro Company which elaborates network anti-virus programs, software and content protect services, has announced release of a new version of Trend Micro ScanMail for Exchange 8.0. The optimized solution supports Exchange Server 2007 and earlier versions. The product protects the security of enterprises from threats concerning web-mail, such as spam, phishing, viruses and unwanted content. At the same time, the new version of ScanMail includes a spyware blocking tool and the protection from zero-day attacks, graphic spam and web-threats. ScanMail for Exchange 8.0, still being compatible with old platforms, also runs under technologies embodied in the modern versions of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. New product supports 64-bit OS, Microsoft Intelligent Message Filter (IMF) and clusters of high availability. In addition, the product integrates with Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) and supports the automatic installation of Microsoft Systems Management Server, thus simplifying the uncrunching and administration. Due to the new capability of antivirus marker in Exchange Server 2007, Trend Micro ScanMail for Exchange 8.0 realizes incremental scanning. On the whole, ScanMail for Exchange 8.0 consolidates infrastructure and reduces expenses of the administration due to the system of e-mail protection in the context of a single, centralized platform management. The decision facilitates to the reduction of the threat impacts on the e-mail server, and also reduces the expenses of management through persistent optimization of productivity and integration with the Microsoft infrastructure.
