OpenSolaris moderated its cost

At the Berlin first conference of OpenSolaris developers, it was announced that the site get.opensolaris.org offers the service now of ordering a DVD with the distributive, documentation and the initial OS codes to any place in the world. And, thanks to sponsorship of Sun, the customer will have to pay only for the disk, but not its delivery. Comments of those, who prefer OpenSolaris are full of excitement about this fact, especially of those users, whose access to the Internet is still limited by acoustic modems with the best rate of 56Kbit/ s. No doubt, that part of the ordered DVDs will belong to lovers of different internet descounts, but nevertheless, this generous gesture of Sun, may contribute significantly to distribution and popularization of the OpenSolaris OS.
