According to PandaLabs, spyware made up 33% of viruses identified by online antivirus Panda ActiveScan, and trojans - 25%. Harmful code Sdbot.ftp once again infected the most part of computers. All other types of harmful codes are not so effective. Worms (6%), took the 3rd place. They are followed by dialers (5%) and backdoor-trojans (4%). As for new types of harmful software - 60% of codes found in February were trojans. This amount is 11 points higher than in January. Trojans are followed by bots and backdoor-trojans, and only then come worms (8%), dialers (3%) and spyware (1%). The First in the list of the most active harmful codes of February once again became Sdbot. - it is the commonl name for scripts, which are used by some worms to download Sdbot on the computer. This worm has been the most active harmful code for the last 12 months. At the second position Bagle.HX is located - it belongs to a branch of worms Bagle. The worm uses features of a rootkit to conceal its activity. It also disables some functions of the security solutions. Through this tactics, it tries to stay unrevealed as long as possible. Thus,Top 10 of viruses that caused the greatest number of infections in February, is the following : Worm W32/Sober.V. 1.65% W32/Bagle.HX. 1.39% W32/Netsky.Q. 1.16% W32/Sober.V. 1.15% W32/Nurech.A. 1.14% Trj / Abwiz.A 1.05% PcClient.DU 0.88% Trj / Torpig.A 0.86% Worm W32/Netsky.Q. 0.84% Trj / Downloader.KG 0.84% Puce.E as in the last month, took the third position. This worm propagates in peering networks. 4 and 5 positions also belong to the two worms : Brontok.H and Nurech.A. The first of these spreads by copying itself in an infected system. The second worm is a new version of the branch, that was very active in February. Nurech.A conseals itself in messages disguising as postcards. It hides in executable attached files with such titles as, for example, Flash Postcard.exe or Greeting Card.exe. Nurech.A is one of several newcomers in the list. Abwiz.A fell from 4 to 6 place. This trojan is designed to steal passwords stored in the system. The seventh position belongs to PcClient.DU, backdoor, a trojan, which opens system port for hackers to remotely control the infected computer. Torpig.A is a harmful code, which lost the greatest number of points in February. It dropped from second to eighth place. Torpig.A is a trojan, which steals confidential users data such as passwords stored in the special services of Windows. Netsky.P occupies the ninth position. This worm uses specific vulnerabilities of Internet Explorer to propagate. In the last ten of most active harmful codes of February Rizaloff.TT occured. This trojan steals confidential user data.
