Private Beta Of The Chatter Has Been Released By Salesforce
16th March 2010
The Chatter in the private beta has been released by Salesforce.com, which has brought the Twitter and Facebook like capabilities to a selected number of the businesses that are using the applications that are running on the cloud computing platform of Force.com. The beta program for the 100-company includes the large corporations like the Schumacher Group, Reed Exhibitions and the TransUnion. The participants of this belong from many of the industries which also include the financial services, high tech, manufacturing and other professional services. They had been chosen by looking at the technology deployments of Salesforce.com and also the potential Chatter use cases, as said by the vendor.
Salesforce.com had introduced the Chatter during the month of November. It was made as collaboration as well as the social networking platform, which companies can use in place of the Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint and the Lotus Notes of IBM. This platform would also allow the developers to add the profiles that are pre-built and the employee status updates that are similar to those that people set up in their Twitter and Facebook, to the applications that are running of Force.com.
