Qwest Observed Decrease In The Profits Of Fourth Quarter

Although it has been reported that the earnings of the fourth quarter have gone down by 39 percent, it has been signaled by the Qwest Communications International that the coming months would bring improvements for the company. Qwest is a telecom company and is based in Denver. The company has said that the net income of it for the fourth quarter was an amount of 108 million dollars, which is a drop from an amount of 177 million dollars when it was reported in the fourth quarter of the previous year.
It has also been said by the company that the migration of the wireless service of the company have been successfully migrated from Sprint Nextel to the Verizon Wireless, which has ended this quarter with 850,000 of the wireless subscribers. The company also added 64,000 of the new wireless customers during this quarter. After selling off the operation of the Qwest mobile phone in the start of this decade, Qwest moved towards Sprint and then to the Verizon Wireless in order to provide wireless services to its customers. There were also some indications by Qwest about its aggressive deployment of the fiber to the node during the quarter in which the company had also added 80,000 of the new fiber customers.
