SOFTIMAGE|XSI 7.5: 3D editor

A new version of the 3D-editor of SOFTIMAGE|XSI came out. This is the first major update since the program was bought by Autodesk. This release introduces a new technology for developing complex polygonal models; new tools to quickly create and edit UV maps; new version of the mental ray 3.7 + visualizer and many other innovations and improvements. Scenes created in Softimage 7.5 can work in version 7.0.
For the first time SOFTIMAGE|XSI 7 offers an open platform ICE, which is designed to create complex visual effects based on particles. The program also provides many ready-made libraries of various effects. You can create effects yourself, without the use of templates. Ready-made effects can be saved in an open XML format or in a protected file; sent to other users of the program.
Other innovations of SOFTIMAGE|XSI 7 include a new architecture of creating shaders in real-time RTS III and a simplified licensing system.
