Sun began transferring Java under iPhone
26th March 2008
Sun Microsystems is now developing Java Virtual Machine for iPhone and is going to release JVM after June, i.e., after providing launch of Java applications under iPhone. JVM is based on the version of Java Micro Edition. Apple has never shown any special interest in Java, but Sun seriously intends to launch JVM under iPhone. The vice-president of Java marketing department said that at releasing, iPhone has become an open platform.
Developing JVM, Sun puts one of the main challenges an opportunity to make full use out of all functions of iPhone in Java applications. Aside from Java games, the developers will be able to transfer to the iPhone corporate programs like Sun Expands Enterprise Resource Planning service and Entry-Level Business Solutions. In addition to iPhone, JVM will support iTouch. The very decision to develop JVM was taken a day after exploring iPhone SDK. In the future Sun is planning to transfer Java Standard Edition and JavaFX under iPhone .
