Symantec about threats of your information

California Symantec Company which elaborates the protection systems of personal and corporate information has recently held a conference together with partner from IBS. It was devoted to the issue of the 11th Internet Security Threat Report. As it could be guessed, in the usual report of the persistent fighters against hackers it was said many times that today the attempts of theft and leakage of data has been increased, as well as a elaboration of malicious software aimed for stealing confidential information and the following use of it for personal gain. According to the specialists` data, in the second half of 2006 there were discovered more than six million bot-infected computers throughout the world (29% more than last year). 45% of the top 50 samples of malicious code are “Trojans” (23% more than in the first half of 2006). The liability of users and businesses to unknown threats has been increased, as well as the number of stated cases of the sale of stolen information (state identification numbers, numbers of bank cards, PIN, accounts, address lists). Symantec has recorded the most active damaging actions in the USA (31%), on the second place are Chinese hackers (10%) and on third-Germany (7%).
