The Bat! 3.98.4 : a new version, and certification for Vista
14th March 2007
Developers of a popular program The Bat! have announced two great news at once. The first is that a new version of email client-3.98.4 has been released. It supports SPAD (Set Program Access and Defaults) now and Default Programs in Windows Vista. Both solutions are meant to simplify the determination of applications that are used by default to perform different tasks on the computer. In addition, the new version of The Bat! has corrected the wrong echoing of characters in the editor Windows. Now when using characters that do not exist in the selected set, for example, Cyrillic characters in the selected for a message Latin-1 set (this can happen when sending a message, which was originally created in Latin-1, and adding to it the commentary with Cyrillic characters), these characters not only displayed correctly primordially, but also remain saved when sending the message. Also, when passing is sorted manually with the use of templates with the alphabet other than the original version, there are no question marks occurring. The Bat! developers also reported that the program became one of the applications that have received logotype "Certified for Windows Vista " and "Works with Windows Vista " It is noticeable, that The Bat! is the only mail client, but Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (which was certified for these programs “by default “as a product of Microsoft), which earned the certification.
